{"id":1283,"date":"2010-07-02T18:12:36","date_gmt":"2010-07-02T17:12:36","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.raymondcook.net\/blog\/?p=1283"},"modified":"2011-05-18T13:54:03","modified_gmt":"2011-05-18T12:54:03","slug":"the-hypocrisy-of-the-lebanese-flotillaniks","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.raymondcook.net\/blog\/index.php\/2010\/07\/02\/the-hypocrisy-of-the-lebanese-flotillaniks\/","title":{"rendered":"The hypocrisy of the Lebanese flotillaniks"},"content":{"rendered":"<div class=\"tweet_button105\" style=\"float: right; margin-left: 10px;\"><a href=\"http:\/\/twitter.com\/share\" rel=\"nofollow\" class=\"twitter-share-button\" data-url=\"https:\/\/www.raymondcook.net\/blog\/index.php\/2010\/07\/02\/the-hypocrisy-of-the-lebanese-flotillaniks\/\" data-text=\"The hypocrisy of the Lebanese flotillaniks - Ray Cook - As I See It\" data-count=\"horizontal\" data-lang=\"en\" data-via=\"tweetbutton\"  data-related=\"coderplus:Wordpress Tips and more.\"><\/a><\/div><p>Richard Millett makes an excellent point on his <a href=\"http:\/\/richardmillett.wordpress.com\/2010\/06\/30\/palestinians-destroy-childrens-summer-camp-israel-to-blame\/\" target=\"_blank\">blog <\/a>about the hypocrisy of the Lebanese sending flotillas ostensibly to aid the beleaguered Gazans whilst the Palestinians in Lebanon are in such a bad way that they are actually out on the streets protesting.<\/p>\n<blockquote><p><em>On Sunday outside the United Nations building in the Lebanese capital  some 6,000 Palestinians demanded basic civil rights 62 years after they  first arrived in Lebanon.<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>The 400,000 Palestinians that live in Lebanon are not allowed to own  property and are excluded from 72 different forms of employment.<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>It is ironic that while there are <\/em><a href=\"http:\/\/www.ynetnews.com\/articles\/0,7340,L-3907499,00.html\"><em>more  flotillas<\/em><\/a><em> destined for Gaza to try to alleviate a non-existent  humanitarian crisis, Palestinians living in Lebanon in dire conditions  are virtually forgotten by the international community, including the  flotilla activists.<\/em><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>As ever, Palestinians killing Palestinians or Muslims killing Muslims (&#8220;According to B\u2019Tselem 660 Palestinians have been <a href=\"http:\/\/www.btselem.org\/english\/Statistics\/Casualties.asp\">murdered<\/a> by Palestinians in the last ten years.
