Torah scrolls burned in Corfu – no attacks on innocent UN employees

You may not have noticed that vandals broke into the synagogue on the Greek island of Corfu and burned the most holy items in Judaism, scrolls of the law – Sifrei Torah. This happened at the beginning of the Passover holiday as reported by the Guardian.

In Judaism these hand-written parchment scrolls of the five books of Moses are the focus of synagogue services on the Sabbath and also festivals and twice during the week.

They are the physical manifestation and, therefore, the direct descendants of the Law revealed by G-d to Moses on Mount Sinai. They are Judaism’s most holy ritual objects.

How interesting is it, then, that the renowned World Jewish Conspiracy did not act to enflame the passions of the world Jewish community to demonstrate, to scream bloody murder and to commit acts of unspeakable violence against innocents.

No doubt this act of desecration was as a result of the 100 strong Corfu Jewish community’s support for the ‘Occupation’.

Or maybe 100 Jews is 100 too many to the good people of Corfu.

According to yNetnews the Greek police have arrested 2 suspects with possible links to terror and a similar attack in Crete.

Israelis are being advised that they are potential targets if they visit Greece on cruises, for example, and that the entire Mediterranean basin is potentially hostile to Jews Israelis.

Partners for peace? What Palestinians think about the the Itamar murders

There is a view held by the wishful thinkers, the ideologues, politicians seeking their place in history and the downright malign Israel- and Jew-haters that somehow, if Israel were to withdraw from Judea and Samaria/the West Bank a Palestinian state would be possible, based on the 1949 cease fire lines, the so-called 1967 borders.

ynetnews reports that a recent poll reveals that no less than 32% of those Palestinians questioned believe that the murder of 5 family members in Itamar last month, including a baby and two children, was justified.

I have been told that we should be stressing that 63% did not support these murders and that to emphasise the minority that did is unworthy.

I beg to differ.

Here are the highlights of the report:

A team of Israeli and Palestinian pollsters says a third of Palestinians surveyed said they supported an attack last month that saw five members of the Fogel family stabbed to death in their home in the West Bank settlement of Itamar.

The poll found 63 percent opposed the attack and 32 percent backed it. Pollsters from Hebrew University and the Palestinian Center for Policy and Survey Research surveyed 1,270 Palestinians in the West Bank, Gaza Strip and Jerusalem. The margin of error was 3 percentage points.

The poll was published Wednesday.

Is it a negative spinning of these results to highlight that 1 in 3 questioned actually supported cold-blooded murder?

What if 1 in 3 ‘settlers’ interviewed said that they agreed that it was OK to murder Palestinian children to liberate Judea and Samaria?

Would the Arab world spin this as 63% of settlers do not believe it is right to murder innocents, including children? Oh, Ok, those Jews aren’t that bad after all.

Or would they already be demonstrating on the streets of every capital in the Islamic world, in Europe, on US campuses?

Would they not be falling over themselves in the UN General Assembly to censure the Zionist entity for its bloodthirsty immorality?

Would not Ahmadinejad be orchestrating Jew-hatred on the streets of Teheran?

And of course, if it were the case that 63% of ‘settlers’ believed this, they’d be right, for a change, to so demonstrate and to condemn.

So what is it about Palestinians that renders them immune from such worldwide censure?

Where are the demos in Tel Aviv and Haifa?

Why aren’t the Jews of Europe on the march in Oslo and Rome?

Where is Ban Ki Moon? Or has he his dark side turned to the Palestinians whilst he bathes the Israelis in the bright lunacy which makes the English rendering of his name so apt?

H/T Ami Isseroff

Itamar – an apology

In a previous article I was grievously misleading when I said of the murderer of baby Hadas, one of five family members of the Fogel family slaughtered in Itamar 10 days ago:

You grab the baby Hadas. You don’t know her name. She is just a Jewish baby. Something inhuman. Less than human. Of less worth than a dog or even a rat.

You have her by the head and you draw your knife across her throat and watch the lifeblood spill out on her pillow and bedclothes.

However, CiFWatch reports:

The three-month old baby [Hadas] was underneath the father.  The baby was killed with one stab wound to the skull.

I am so sorry to have misled you all. In fact, it was another of the children who had received the wound I had attributed to Hadas:

…found the 11-year-old[Yoav] who had been butchered, his throat was sliced so deep that his head was nearly detached from the body.

How remiss of me to suggest that the murderer could cut the throat of a baby.

Throat-cutting starts at the age of 11 in Judea/Samaria, apparently.

And the indefatigable Adam Levick finally tells us this:

I then asked Sgt. Itelman if he treated any Palestinians shortly after the attack in Itamar, and, if so, whether he had any particular thoughts he wanted to share about the experience.

His reply:

“The very next day, after the attacks in Itamar, I treated a suspect arrested on suspicion of participating in the planning of the attack in Itamar.  When in custody, the suspect had very severe bronchitis attack, which could have killed him, and the only thing I could do is be as detached and professional as possible. I treated him well and he survived.

I’m an IDF professional, and that’s what we’re trained to do.”

So vengeful, these Jews.

Itamar and the redefinition of evil

The story of the murder of five members of the Fogel family in Itamar in Samaria, or, if you insist, the West Bank, should be known to you. If not, then here is a short description of what happened from the Israel Ministry of Foreign Affairs:

At least one terrorist infiltrated the West Bank settlement of Itamar, southeast of Nablus, late Friday night (11 March) and stabbed to death Udi (36) and Ruth (35) Fogel, and their children Yoav, 11, Elad, 4, and 3-month-old Hadas.

The killings occurred shortly after 10 p.m., when one or two attackers jumped the fence that surrounds Itamar and broke into the home of Ruth and Udi Fogel. The attackers went from room to room, first stabbing the parents and their 3-month-old baby girl, Hadas. They proceeded to the next room where they killed the two sleeping boys, Elad, 4, and Yoav, 11.
Two other boys – Ro’ie, 8 and Yishai, 2 – were sleeping in another room and were not attacked.

The family’s oldest child, 12- year-old Tamar, was out of the house at the time and alerted neighbors when no one opened the door for her.

I don’t know what your views on Israeli settlement activity in Judea/Samaria are.  If you are an anti-Zionist,  that’s fine. If you don’t like Jews, then I think you are a bigot, but never mind. If you don’t agree with Israel’s policies in Judea and Samaria, ok, I’m not a big fan myself.

If you dislike Israel and/or Jews and/or Zionists BUT you want peace and you want two peoples to be able to live together despite your dislike of one of them, then please read what I am about to write.

Just to be sure. I don’t care what your politics are or which side you support or who you hate or dislike but I do want you to think about this incident.

I am especially keen that those of you on what’s known as the ‘hard left’ who are very fond of demonising Israel and Israelis read this.

If you are a supporter of Palestine and somehow think that this family deserved this, then I want you to read what I am about to write.

If you think that these actions are a valid form of ‘resistance’, then read this.

If you love life, Israel, Jews, Zionism, humanity in all its forms and with all its terrible faults and contradictions, then I would guess you are already outraged and don’t need to read this; but please spare me a few more minutes of your time.

Look at the picture of 3-month old Hadas Fogel above. Now imagine that you are about to break into her bedroom and find her in her cot. You have a knife, a very sharp knife, in your hand. You are fired up with hate and anger and, no doubt, jihadi passion. Maybe you have seen friends killed by Israelis. Maybe you have been fed hatred of Jews your entire life. Maybe life is hard for you and your family because of Israeli checkpoints and restrictions. Maybe some Jew has torn out your olive trees.

Maybe you have a 3-month old sister or niece or daughter. You love children and babies. They are the future. They are innocent, are they not?

Nevertheless, you find the sleeping baby (and you have already killed her parents whilst her young brothers wait for your knife in another room). Maybe the the baby has woken with the commotion. Maybe she is crying for her dead mother whom you have just slaughtered in her bed, stabbing her many times.

You grab the baby Hadas. You don’t know her name. She is just a Jewish baby. Something inhuman. Less than human. Of less worth than a dog or even a rat.

You have her by the head and you draw your knife across her throat and watch the lifeblood spill out on her pillow and bedclothes.

You do not feel remorse. You feel jubilation. You have committed an heroic deed. You can’t wait to get back home and show them your bloody clothes and your hands still drenched in Jewish blood. But there are still two young boys to despatch. Did one watch as his brother was stabbed to death awaiting his fate? Or were they still sleeping as your knife did its deadly work?

And what do your friends and your parents and your community think of you? Do they alert the police? Do they scream bloody murder?

No. They rejoice. They could not be happier.

When the news reaches Gaza, Hamas hands out sweets/candies to children of a similar age to those just murdered.

Palestinian Authority president Mahmoud Abbas calls Israeli president Netanyahu to express his sorrow at the deed and then continues with his never-ending slanders, blood-libels and dehumanisation of Jews.

No doubt Abbas is happy that Netanyahu has retaliated. Did this retaliation take the form of a massacre of Palestinian innocents? No, it took the form of approving 500 new housing blocks in West Bank ‘settlements’, for which he was condemned by the USA. Another notch is tightened on the rack of Israeli delegitimisation. The assassin has done well.

So, I ask you, you who approve or at least ‘understand’ how such things can happen, or, rather then condemn, reel off a long list of Israeli ‘crimes’ which justify the ‘resistance’, I ask you to explain your moral position. Or maybe you’ve come out with some platitudes about how sorry you are, but…

Yes, it’s that ‘but’ which says it all.

There are no ‘buts’.

Any person who can perform such a depraved act is no person. They are not members of any human race that I can recognise. No-one, however angry, however repressed, however poor and certainly however ‘religious’ can ever, ever, ever justify or minimise or excuse or explain, let alone rejoice, at such an act.

And any people, which wants to take its part in the family of nations, which bases its national aspirations on the demonisation and dehumanisation of another race or nation or group is not, nor deserves the name of, a ‘nation’ or ‘people’.

And before you start to tell me about the atrocities Jews perpetrated against Arabs and the British and bring up Deir Yassin and Gaza and Lebanon and Sabra and Shatila, then read again the sentence above.

All I hear is the deafening silence or mealy-mouthed ‘explanations’ coming from the Arab world and the hard left.

At the Fogel home there is also deafening silence.

Mel Gibson to star in new Jack the Ripper film

During the height of the Whitechapel murders in London in 1891 police found an item of graffito on a wall. This became known as the Goulston Street graffito.

The graffito was immediately removed because of its inflammatory nature.

The wording of the graffito was, however, recorded, although the exact form is disputed.

The Juwes are not the men to be blamed for nothing

The East End already had a large immigrant population and the police did not want to stir up interracial aggravation.

Now, following the success of Quentin Tarantino’sInglourious Basterds’, bad spelling is back in fashion for film titles.

A private film company, rumoured to be financed by George Soros, is in the process of making an explosive new film whose title is this very same graffito.

“The Juwes are not the Men to Be Blamed for Nothing” will be directed by renowned British film director Peter Kosminsky whose recent Channel 4 “The Promise” was such a successful and polished anti-Zionist polemic.

The story is based on a Ph.D thesis written by Dr Saif Gaddafi whose brilliant research has revealed that Jack the Ripper was none other than Theodor Herzl, founder of modern Zionism and the notion of Jewish statehood.

According to Dr Gaddafi, during a recent interview via a conference link at the London School of Economics, chaired by Channel 4 News anchor Jon Snow, Saif Gaddafi explained that Herzl was a deranged psychopath who was harvesting organs and sending them to Palestine where the Jewish state in-the-making was using them for medical research.

“This demonstrates that the Zionist state was founded by and continues to be run by murderers  After leaving London, Herzl arrived in France where he met the Jew, Émile Zola, and between the two of them they stirred up pro-Zionist sympathies after the Dreyfus Affair”.

Snow expressed surprised that Zola was a Jew, but Gaddafi assured him that it could not be otherwise.

John Galliano has been earmarked to make the costumes for the drama. Speaking from a holding cell in a police station in the Marais district of Paris, Galliano said:

I am proud to be associated with a film that the great Adolf Hitler would have endorsed. I can’t wait to share a drink with Mel Gibson and create a marvellous fin de siècle costume for the Herzl role.

Meanwhile, on the film set, Gibson was settling into the role of Herzl in the company of Charlie Sheen who will be playing Zola.

“How comes no-one knew that Zola’s real name was Ephraim Zweig?” asked Sheen. But Gibson shrugged his shoulders and was seen quizzing Kosminsky about how he  could get a flagellation scene into the Whitechapel sequences.

Kosminsky was recently asked why he had taken on such a controversial project which many viewed as being a somewhat one-sided analysis of early Zionism.

“I have made extensive research into the subject”, said Kosminsky, “and I have impeccable Palestinian sources which confirm that it is all true. Saif Gaddafi is also a well-known scholar and highly regarded. We have tried to show the other side for the sake of even-handedness by a 30 second sequence borrowed from the film Papillon which shows the suffering of Dreyfus on Devil’s Island.”

Jewish groups have voiced dismay that such a film could ever be made. In Egypt, however, the film project has already received rave reviews even though no-one has seen the full script.

Julian Assange is threatening to release documents held for more than one hundred years at the Metropolitan Police HQ about the Ripper case. “Clearly, there has been a Jewish conspiracy to suppress this information for such a long time and it is essential that the public know exactly what the Jews have been up to for all these years.”

Dark clouds may be gathering for the film-makers, however. David Irving is reported to have filed a $100 million lawsuit against Dr Saif Gaddafi for plagiarism.

A statement by Kosminsky and all those involved in the enterprise expresses their love of, and their unshakable belief in the right of the Jewish people to self-determination in their ancestral land.

Hamas – Jews and Christians should be killed

This is what people like George Galloway and other Far-Left terrorist-lovers support.

It’s also what the Palestine Solidarity Campaign supports.

It’s what the IHH Jew-haters on the Mavi Marmara supported.

Do you support it?

This is a short video clip from Palestine Media Watch which shows the sort of  anti-Jew and, this time, anti-Christian hate speech that is being broadcast daily in Gaza.

If you think Hamas are ‘freedom-fighters’ who want their land back then think again.

Hamas is about spreading their particular type of Islamo-fascism across the entire world and they are happy to kill anyone that gets in their way.

The first obstacle is Israel.

As the report says:

A video on official Hamas TV calls for Allah to kill Jews, Christians, Communists and their supporters. The video asks Allah to “count them and kill them to the last one, and don’t leave even one.”
As Palestinian Media Watch has reported this call for the killing of non-Muslims was a regular pronouncement by both Palestinian Authority (Fatah) and Hamas political and religious leaders for many years starting in July 2000.

For years, sermons by religious leaders on official Palestinian Authority TV under Yasser Arafat and Mahmoud Abbas routinely presented the killing of Jews as a religious obligation and a fulfillment of the Islamic ideal.
Due to PMW’s exposure of these sermons, which led to international criticism and pressure, Mahmoud Abbas, whose office controls PA TV, has been forced to prevent the broadcast of sermons calling for extermination of Jews on PA TV.

The latest sermon of this nature on PA TV was in January 2010.

Notice how the moderate PA is also spewing out this venom.

Don’t be fooled. The Israel-Palestine conflict is not about land and borders. This is the big lie that world leaders choose to ignore. It should be about land and borders, but it has always been about destroying Israel. That is why no peace is possible. That is why negotiations are a mere ploy to advance the irredentist programme of annihilation.

Bearded in the Lion’s den – how one man made anti-Zionists think

I have to share with you an inspiring story (How to win over a hijab-wearing student)

from The Point of No Return blog which is dedicated to information about Jewish refugees from Arab lands.

Michelle Huberman screened ‘Forgotten Refugees, a film about the plight of mizrachi Jews and Arab anti-Semitism.

During he course of the screening of the film to a hostile audience at the SOAS (School of Oriental and African Studies) in London, and after a question and answer session with  Matti Haroun, the audience clearly understood that there was an issue here that they hadn’t previously confronted.

A Pakistani girl in full hijab was the one most interested in the film. In the end she and a few of the students asked for more information and a copy. Michelle gave away half-a-dozen copies, plus some fact sheets.

Well done Michelle and Matti – brave and inspiring. Please read it all.

Fins ain’t what they used to be – Mossad and its global reach

The guy on the left is the head of Mossad, Meir Dagan. Regard him well, he is responsible for the death of an unfortunate German tourist because he enduced a White Tip reef shark to attack her.

Now, I do not want to trivialise the death of this tourist; it was truly horrendous. However, according to sources inside Egypt, it was all part of a Mossad plot to ruin the Egyptian tourist industry.

Honest Reporting set the scene:

Conspiracy theories about Israel and the Jews are common fare in the Middle East and disseminated widely in the Arab media. From accusations that the Jews were responsible for the 9/11 terror attacks to classic anti-Semitic blood libels, the Western mainstream media have failed to report on this as an issue of Arab incitement.

Yes indeed, and it is Mossad with its global reach that is determined to undermine the Egyptian tourist industry with its usual clever tricks. It does not have any other fish to fry, it decided that to put an agent in a fish suit just would not cut it; it trained an ocean-going shark to operate in shallow water with the express purpose of causing a ‘Jaws’ effect and clearing the beaches of Sharm El Sheikh, Egypt’s premier Red Sea resort.

Honest Reporting cites The Scotsman’s apparent gullibility in going along with the story with its headline: ‘Egypt Refuses to Rule Out Mossad Plot Link to Deadly  Shark Attack’ implying that the ludicrous story might be true.

The BBC is not much better: ‘Shark attacks not linked to Mossad says Israel’. Well that’s a relief.

So what’s behind it? Again the BBC:

The reports – apparently quoting the South Sinai governor – have been picked up by the Israeli media…

Rumours had circulated in Egypt that there could be an Israeli connection to this unusual spate of Red Sea shark attacks.

However, it was comments attributed to the South Sinai governor, Mohamed Abdul Fadil Shousha, carried on an official Egyptian news site that drew attention.

“What is being said about the Mossad throwing the deadly shark [in the sea] to hit tourism in Egypt is not out of the question, but it needs time to confirm,” he is reported to have said.

I am sure the governor is at this very moment seeking confirmation, but from whom about what remains a mystery.

Ami Isseroff in Zionism-Israel.com has his own take on the story:

In the context of historical anti-Semitism, the view that Jews are at fault for everything is hardly new. In the Middle East, the conflict with tiny Israel (population less than 8 million)   is routinely blamed for Arab underdevelopment and the misery of hundreds of millions of people. This view is not confined to kooks and krazies only. It is touted by respected analysts in the west and enshrined in U.N.reports.

But there is at least one sensible voice coming out of Egypt as reported in Israel: Daily Alert

Mahmoud Hanafy, a professor of marine biology at the Suez Canal University, said it is “sad” that Egyptian national TV helped perpetuate the theory that last week’s shark attacks at Sharm el-Sheikh were part of an Israeli conspiracy. On Sunday, Gen. Abdel-Fadeel Shosha, the governor of South Sinai, phoned a TV program to say that it is possible that Israeli intelligence was behind the incidents.

Hanafy said the Oceanic White Tip shark, blamed for the attacks, does indeed exist in Egypt’s waters. He added, “It is sad that they made a person whose only knowledge of sharks comes from the movie “Jaws” go on national TV to propagate this mumbo-jumbo.” ((Yasmine Fathi – Al-Ahram-Egypt))

‘Sad’ indeed that such ridiculous stories can still gain purchase in some circles where Jews/Israel are to blame for anything negative.

Barry Shaw has privately requested me to remind the Egyptians that if Israel cannot control a forest fire they are more likely to have dropped goldfish in the Red Sea. Of course, Barry, they would have to train them not to swim into Israeli waters to attack Israelis or tourists in just the same way that they trained the Sharm sharks to remain in Egyptian waters.

The Yemen bomb mystery – no mystery at all

Some are wondering why bombs sent from Yemen intended to explode in mid-air on cargo planes or in passenger planes’ cargo holds were addressed to synagogues in Chicago.

It has also been observed that it is strange that package sent from Islamist Yemen, from where Jews have been eradicated after a continuous presence of about 3000 years, addressed to synagogues in the United States, should not be regarded with suspicion by a single person in the journey from Sana’a to the East Midlands in the UK.

This latter observation is painfully true.

Yet, the reason why the packages were addressed to synagogues in Chicago is blindingly obvious.

We are led to believe that the bombs were to be detonated mid-air, presumably with timing devices.

The destination of the packages is simply a cynical piece of Islamist humour and a dark warning.

Chicago is President Obama’s hometown. And synagogues are where Jews go to pray. Al Qaeda hates Obama and Jews.

For those who believe that political Islam will make peace with the West when the Israel-Palestine conflict is ended, and for those of you who believe that Islam’s beef is with Israel and Zionism, not Jews per se, then you are wrong.

There is a clear message when a bomb is addressed to a synagogue, even if the bomb’s target is the plane carrying this overt message.

The message is a simple one: “We hate Jews and we will come for you wherever you are”.

Not only does this mean that airports and carriers have to step up security and incur increased costs and less profit, but synagogues across the United States have to ramp up security and make life increasingly uncomfortable for the Jewish community with extra security checks, suspicion and even fear.

It’s the nearest Al Qaeda comes to a joke. But they are the only ones laughing.

Why I’m an ashamed Jew

Yep, you read right.

I’ve had to admit it.

I can’t live a lie any longer.

I’m deeply, deeply ashamed.

Ashamed of being Jewish?

No way. I’m very proud to be Jewish and a member of the Jewish people.

Ashamed of Israel? Wrong again. I’m proud of Israel’s achievements. I worry about its policies, sometimes; I’m concerned, sometimes, about some of its actions and those of some of its citizens, but I could say the same for Britain and I’m still proud to be British.

So why am I ashamed?

I’ll tell you.

I’m ashamed of Jews who say they are ashamed to be Jews or Jewish.

I don’t hear Palestinians coming out to  declare they are ashamed to be Palestinian and denounce suicide bombs or missiles.

I don’t hear Arabs writing they are ashamed to be Arabs because of Al Qaeda or Sudan or Yemen.

I don’t hear Muslims forming groups of shame because of what Sunni does to Shia, or 9/11, or 7/7, or Madrid, or Mumbai.

I don’t know of any Ashamed Catholic groups forming because of the paedophilia apparently rife in Catholic clergy.

In fact I know of no other group of people who so often announce their ashamedness to be who they are as Jews do.

And you know what?

It makes me ashamed.

I’m an ashamed Jew who is ashamed of ashamed Jews. If that’s a paradox, so be it. And I’m not ashamed to declare my shame.

Shame on me!

I don’t see why Arabs or Muslims or Palestinians or Brits or Americans or Chinese or anyone else should be ashamed of what they are because of the actions of a few.

If I’m ashamed to be a Jew because I don’t like what Israel does, that is a form of self-hating, it’s bigotry – by golly, its anti-Semitic.

If I hate all of a group because of the actions of some, then I am a bigot. And if I am the target of my own bigotry then I’m a pretty sick bigot.

On the Andrew Marr program this morning on BBC 1, the eponymous Scottish interviewer had the (Jewish) actress Miriam Margolyes in the studio reporting on a recent visit to Israel and the West Bank.

We see her approaching a young Palestinian woman and asking through an interpreter whether she can see where she lives. The woman, carrying a young child, takes her to a canvas tent. Miriam is shocked and says ‘no-one should have to live like this’.

I absolutely agree with her. No-one in the West Bank should be living in a tent.

So why are they?

Miriam believes it’s because of the terrible Israelis who make her an ‘ashamed Jew’. Neither she nor Marr question why this woman lives like this. No-one asks why after 62 years a young woman whose grandparents left or were driven out of what is now Israel should be a refugee and have refugee status uniquely different from all other refugee groups in history.

Neither Margolyes nor Marr wanted to mention, or even wanted to entertain, the idea that refugee camps, so-called, exist for one reason and one reason only: to deliberately perpetuate the victimhood of Palestinians and to preserve the idea, which Margolyes and other ashamed Jews have swallowed whole , that it is Israel who is responsible for these conditions.

Margolyes appears unaware that hundreds of thousands of Palestinians live comfortably on the West Bank in normal housing. She seems unaware that despite the billions of dollars poured into the Palestinian economy people are still allowed to live in tents and camps.

There is no need for it.

Pakistanis are not living in tents three generations after their forbears fled India.

There are no refugee camps in Israel for the hundreds of thousands who were forced from their homes after 1948 from Egypt and Iraq and Syria and North Africa.

Marr asks ‘Do you think being a Jew gives you a different authority, ability to talk about [the Palestinian question]?’

‘The only authority I have is as a human being’, Margolyes replies. So far, so good.

Then she says that it should not make a difference being Jewish or not Jewish to be able to comment on the situation, but then says, somewhat in contradiction, that she is ’embarrassed and ashamed’ (that word again) because ‘my “lot” is doing “it” to them’.

She then says ‘that’s why I wanted to go there, to see for myself’. Fine. But it appears she had already made up her mind that ‘her lot’ were doing ‘it’ to ‘them’.

Marr asks for her reaction, and she then puts on a faux Arab accent and says that some said ‘why do you come? You are a Jew. We hate you.’ And then in her own voice ‘And I totally understood why’.

Yet, she doesn’t understand why at all. She doesn’t understand that this hatred predates the Jewish state. She doesn’t understand the daily diet of anti-Semitism that is fed to Palestinians in schools, newspapers and on TV.

Marr then asks a question which links the Holocaust to what he clearly believes is a given Israeli/Jewish paranoia. He asks that, given Margolyes and her generation know what it’s like growing up in the shadow of the Holocaust, does she not realise that Israelis feel hemmed in and beleaguered by Iran, suicide bombs and missiles.

She admits her sympathy. She knows what anti-Semitism is. But ‘treating people the way the Israelis are treating the Palestinians is not making things better’. In other words, the blame for the situation is all on the Israeli side.

And then, lo and behold, the old ignorant trope comes out. ‘What people forget over there is that the Palestinians were not responsible for the Holocaust.’

Arghhh!  I’m so ashamed. What the hell has the Holocaust got to do with the situation? Is she suggesting that Israel exists because of Holocaust guilt? Is she suggesting that the Palestinians are paying for the crimes of Europeans? If so, she is ignorant of her own people’s history.

‘They were not the enemy at that time’, she says. But THEY WERE! The Mufti of Jerusalem was a friend of Hitler and organised Muslim Nazi brigades in Yugoslavia. He assured Hitler that he would solve the Jewish Question in Palestine. Hamas and the PLO are the ideological progeny of the Muslim Brotherhood and its anti-Semitic policies.

Margolyes and other ashamed Jews need to educate themselves. I am sick of being ashamed of them.

What is she saying now? Oh yes, the Israelis should understand and accept that they owe reparation to the Palestinians just like the Jews expect it from the Germans.

So she, perhaps unwittingly, makes a moral equivalence between the way Jews were treated in the Holocaust and  the way Palestinians (who have been hell-bent on another Holocaust for 100 years, and certainly 60) have been treated by the Israelis.

Who attacked Israel in 1967?

Why was the PLO formed in 1964 before there was any ‘Occupation’?

The Israelis are behaving ”so cruelly’. Yes, sometimes all those with power over others behave cruelly. Maybe she should understand why Israelis might do so to Palestinians who want to kill them, and blow up their children on buses and in their beds. Why can she only see one side to this conflict?

Even Marr has to remind her about suicide attacks and rockets. And then we get the real answer to Margolyes ashamedness. She is not a two-state solutionist. She wants  ‘those people to be back in their own villages, which is what they want.’

How ignorant is this. They just want to go back to their villages. But their villages are Haifa and Jerusalem and Tel Aviv and Eilat and Beersheva. Margolyes is clearly advocating the end of the Jewish state as a deluded one-stater who believes the Palestinians, who she admits hate the Jews, just want to go back peacefully to their homes.

How often do we see people in the media like Miriam Margolyes, Jews and non-Jews, well-meaning, decent people who just do not understand. They live in their cosy left-wing bubbles dreaming of world peace where all will be luvvies.

Sorry Miriam. You are a very nice woman and a wonderful actress, but you are a deluded Jew.

Go read some history. Go read the PLO charter and the Hamas charter. Don’t pose as a woman of peace when you clearly want a second Holocaust – because if you don’t, then you need to wake up out of your deluded lefty dreams, you and all the ashamed Jews.

Until you do so, I will continue to be an ashamed of ashamed Jews Jew.
